Cumbria Flood Expo 2017 will be the very first event of its kind in the county. The event has been organised by Community Emergency Response Team UK (CERT, formerly Eden Flood Volunteers) to help those affected by the floods of 2015.
Even after raising £1,800,000 in donations and helping well over 4,000 families, the team at CERT are not keen to rest on their laurels. They want to do everything within their power to limit the risk of flooding in the future. They have seen firsthand the devastation that flooding can bring, so with the Flood Expo they hope to give Cumbrian families and businesses the very best products and advice to protect themselves.
CERT operates without any government funding, relying purely on donations.
